Inspired by the subways in #Paris, we rebuilt this bathroom for our #tenleytownproject. The tile guys must have hated me for asking them to cut these really thick brick tiles in alternating herringbone and straight patterns but boy! About 20 years ago I visited the estate of the late Artist, Ralph Stimson and purchased over 85 of his charcoal, pencil and pastel drawings. That was before I became a designer and took an entire month's paycheck!! The art was obviously more important than food or shelter!! 😂 Almost all of them have been carefully packed in storage until now. This is one of the first of his pieces I just got framed, one I love very much and can't wait to see in my new home!! #rajisnewhome #patienceisavirtue
