As we began our five-day installation yesterday for our #Noorderwind project, I reflected on how 14 months ago I had considered the purchase of this home for my own family and later decided not to move but fondly said how nice it would be if the people who bought this home hired me to design it for them. As luck would have it, four months later, I started designing this terrific home for these wonderful clients!! #serendipity #pietboon #architecture

#TBT - I was 11 years old when I first started traveling around the world. Needless to say many parts of Europe have always influenced me - some more than others. It was only around 10 years ago I started doing my murals because it felt like a great way to bring that #oldworldfeel and I haven't stopped since. This one is a master #bedroom I designed in 2006 for a #washingtondc #showhouse with the #pediment of the @BritishMuseum recreated in a #RajiRMmural and where elements of the #beauxarts #architecture #JeanMichelFrank #SirJohnSoane and #contemporary #design - all came together in this one #room - #allinthemix
